Dear Santa,

I know I haven’t been super good this year, but I’m only asking for one little thing. You see, my library card has expired, and the only way to renew it is to show up in person at the library and prove that I still live in Austin. Currently, that is impossible.

All I am asking this year is that somebody somewhere will be kind enough to give me their library card number and password. I imagine there must be some kind-hearted person out there who doesn’t use their library card, or hasn’t even bothered to sign up for one yet (it’s free and easy). I just want to be able to check out e-books to read while we travel. There won’t be any late fees because e-books automatically return themselves.

I know this is a busy day for you – lots of places to go and children to see. But maybe, just maybe, while you’re riding around up there on your sleigh you could just sprinkle a little magic onto someone with access to a library card. That’s all I’m asking.
