On Tuesday we woke up extra early to catch the bus into Honolulu so that Nikki could take a free hula lesson at the Royal Hawaiian Center in Waikiki.  The center is a mall of higher end shops a short walk from the beach. It has a lovely grove in the middle with a stage which is where they offer free hula lessons and shows. They also have free ukulele, lei-making, and Hawaiian quilting classes.

The lesson was well worth the price. It is a full hour long, and we learned an entire song. I’m sure I looked silly out there, but so did everyone else. It was a blast!
